Querceto Chianti Classico Italy

Okay time for a wine review. 2007 Querceto Chianti Classico is great. Smooth, warm round. Easy to quaf. No pasta required, but with a fine Spanish goat cheese it is superb. Querceto is from Greve in Chianti. A wonderful little town North of Castillina in Chianti. Greve was a fun day with Bicycling in Italy as we tried to climb to the hill tops and enjoy the view. But coasted down quickly and found a flat road of about five miles for an out an back.

VinItaly - What to Wear?

So how stylish is everyone at VinItaly? It is Italy, so you can't be too stylist. And yes we did see jeans being worn, but that may have been tourist. All styles were welcome. With as much wine as was consumed, no one cared what you wore.

Red pants seemed to be everywhere in Europe last year. Even at VinItaly.

The picture below is not upside down. The exhibit had the terror on the ceiling, just for something different. Real different. It was very large and not easily conveyed by the photo, but way cool.

Viva VinItaly

Okay, Okay, it has been almost a year since the last post. Need to get committed. Actually it is confession time. This post was started so that we could get press credentials to VinItaly. The large wine exposition in Verona that happens each April. We to quote a famous Roman, we came, we saw, we drank. Well he almost said that.

As you can see, VinItaly is like a large county fair, except all the exhibits and rides are about wine in Italy. We found that most of the good stuff never leaves Italy. They drink it there.
